Needs vs. Wants
Buying a car is not easy. First you need to choose what make and
model of vehicle you want. Then match your needs, then your wants.
Most buyers do it the other way around and wind up with a car that
they enjoy because it is what they wanted. But they also end up
hating their new purchase because it does not satisfy their needs.
Collaborate what features that you certainly necessitate (needs),
and then decide what features that you would like to have (wants).
Your wants should only be obtained as long as they suit the amount
you a looking to spend. You should figure this all out prior to
going to the auto dealership. Trying to figure out which features
are significant to you while in the dealership will simply cost
you money and cause you anguish. Whether you decide to purchase a
new car or a used car, the examples provided below should have the
same influence on your decisions.
Examples of Needs:
1. 4 Doors
2. Automatic Transmission
3. Air Conditioning
4. Luggage rack
5. Child safety seats
6. Towing package (if you are planning to tow a boat, trailer,
etc.)
7. Rear defroster/heated mirrors
8. 4 Doors Station wagon or Minivan
Examples of Wants:
1. Blue car with tan interior (or any specific color)
2. Sport wheels
3. 6 disc CD Player
4. Upgraded interior
5. Sunroofs/moon roofs (unless you are really tall!)
6. Spoilers/ground effects
7. Engine with more horsepower than you need.
8. Electronic gauge

prevent--your approval for funding. You can receive a FREE copy of
your credit report from Trans Union by clicking here. We recommend
that you check your credit before applying for an auto loan.
READ EVERYTHING!
When completing your new or used car purchase, make sure that you
READ EVERYTHING BEFORE SIGNING, including all of the fine print!
Determine beforehand if you want a warranty, and don't allow any
"dealer extras" or added charges slip by. |
